Capt. Oliver Brooks

Oliver N. Brooks purchased the land at 4 Vineyard Ave on December 7, 1880. In the spring of 1882 a cottage was built there at a cost of $900. Oliver Brooks was lighthouse keeper on Faulkner's Island, he served in state legislature, and was a carpenter. He died on January 5, 1913.
